Eternal Eden Eden Trilogy Book 1 eBook Nicole Williams
Zapping through the book a lot (riddled with or crippled by the usual "I'm so plain and unworthy of his love" while gorgeous men are buzzing around her like bees around the pollen of flowers), since I am researching the structure of books and the story line behind. I was mildly interested in finding out the development made around the story of Immortals, which more or less ressemble the way the world is constructed nowadays:The Guardians, to protect the human race (think Doctors Without Borders) and the Inheritors (think the Illuminati) who deem themselves responsible for protecting their own personal concept of Eden-the Earth, resorting to murder when it suits their despotic tendencies.
For young teenagers or inexperienced young adults, the fairy tale concept of soul mate, buzzing electricity between two bodies, ready to give their life to save their loved one seems at times sickening. What about the cunning, overt and hidden lies, promises made and seldom kept from a wishy washy girl eager to be the lamb of sacrifice so she can redeem herself from a perceived wrong (if I hadn't insisted on being so selfish on ordering dessert at the restaurant my parents brought me to celebrate my 18th birthday, we would have left in time before the mad man with a machine gun killed them and almost killed me in the process...)
There must be a very fashionable trend called the victim's mentality of survivors of shooting, widely used by too many authors of Y.A. novels. And talk about stigma and adherence to social codes of behavior when your race's (species?) pale blue eyes turn sapphire blue once you have tasted the joys of the flesh! Religious fanatics would love this kind of stigma for sinners hah hah...
I still give the book a three stars review because of the impeccable vocabulary and grammar and at times the poetic prose to describe nature.

Eternal Eden Eden Trilogy Book 1 eBook Nicole Williams Reviews
I am a fan of Nicole Williams so when I found out this book was free on I dove right in. Let me start of saying that I LOVE the immortal world Williams has created, it's different from anything else I've read and I honestly don't like overused story lines.
I honestly was really iffy about this story while reading the first half of this book for a few different reasons. Bryn seemed really whiny to me in the beginning and she was utterly clueless about things going on around her. It's like she acted as if things that were going on were normal when they really weren't. Also, whenever William's brother Patrick is introduced and he starts to show odd signs to Bryn as if he has feelings for her it got too Twilight like for me. It was Bella, Edward, and Jacob all over again, but maybe I just was misreading his signs? Other than that I really enjoyed how all of the main characters in this book are really well rounded and very interesting. It had that one character that you loved, the one that you got frustrated with, and the evil villain that you absolutely despise. The plot was really well rounded too, I don't like having to wait around for some action to happen and it seemed like there was action almost right away! I also like how it was an insta-love in disguise for Bryn. Read the book and you'll understand what I mean! I was laughing at some parts and angry at others but it's the books that make me feel something that I like the best. Over all I really enjoyed this book and recommend you check it out. It's free on , so if you have a kindle it wouldn't hurt to check it out. (
P.S. If you do read this book and enjoy it, The Glassheart Chronicles is also free on and the last chapter of the book is William and Bryn meeting but from Williams point of view. I recommend you read it because I really looked at William in a different way afterwards, you get to know him a bit better!(
This story could have been good. It may have been a good idea although it is now being over done.
Bryn Dawson was valedictorian in high school and then goes into on ivy league college where she goes through a major tragedy and loses her parents. Bryn opting for a change moved to a school in Oregon.
Bryn is a very annoying character. She is having her own major pity party blaming her parents death on her wanting a dessert.
She had an incredibly annoying low self esteem thinking she is very ugly even when two of the best looking and popular guys want her. She can't figure out why. Oh boo hoo they must be only taking pity on her.
After a couple days of dating one. she has fallen in love.
This is where it totally goes down hill. She receives a letter she thinks is from him saying he wasn't going to see her again. At this point she decides she's going to drown herself in the ocean.
Him being so amazing swoops in and saves her.
They go to a house belonging to another guy who also liked her.
Wow and she still doesn't understand whythey all want her.
The relationship between the two is the most sappiest sugary I've ever read. Worse than all the romance books I've read. The dialog is so syrupy that it makes you sick. The girl when trying to make any witty remarks falls very flat. For someone supposedly so smart, she really isn't too bright at all. She has no personality.
The last thing that really bugged me was how she was supposed to be really so in love but was never willing to fight for it. Every time they ran into obstacles, she wanted to run. She wanted to leave so he could be happy. Hmm. I know they say if you love someone let them go but this was taking it way too far. You've got to be willing to fight for that love as well.
I saw all the good reviews for this book and decided to read it. I'm glad it was free. I really don't think I can stomach 2 more books.
